Introducing Lucas Lemonds, an enthusiastic AmeriCorps VISTA member dedicated to making a positive impact at the West Virginia University Center for Community Engagement through the means of marketing and social media. With a background in marketing and a passion for community development, Lucas brings a unique blend of creativity and strategic thinking to his role.
Lucas graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management from WVU Potomac State College in December 2023. During this time, he served as Student Body President and worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA for University Relations. Lucas is currently enrolled as a graduate student in the West Virginia University Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program.
In his role, Lucas plays a pivotal part in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the various community engagement initiatives hosted by the Center. Through his efforts, Lucas aims to not only elevate the Center's online presence, but also to inspire a sense of community pride and engagement among West Virginia University students' and the broader community.
As an AmeriCorps VISTA member, Lucas is not just a marketing professional; he is a dedicated servant leader committed to addressing the unique challenges faced by the community. With a passion for storytelling and a genuine desire to connect people, Lucas is determined to leave a lasting impact on the West Virginia University community, bridging the gap between the university and the surrounding neighborhoods.
