Evy Wright, MA

Student Volunteer Development Program Manager
Center for Community Engagement

Evy Wright is the Program Manager for Student Volunteer Development at the WVU Center for Community Engagement. Evy is enthusiastic about human potential and works to help emerging adults explore their identity, passions, and values through volunteer service. Evy also maintains the iServe volunteer system and provides research-based volunteer development training to community partners and WVU Extension.

Evy holds a Master of Arts degree in educational psychology from WVU and a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from Emerson College in Boston. Additionally, Evy is an adjunct instructor of Child and Lifespan Development at WVU. She has a wealth of knowledge built from years of working in hospitals, teaching in a variety of settings, supervising volunteers, running a small business, and developing youth and community programming. Fun fact: Evy previously lived in Georgia and ran a successful touring puppet company for many years.

Many of Evy’s skills were gained through volunteer work. She has produced community-wide theatrical productions designed to break participants out of their comfort zones, volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care in Georgia, was president of her neighborhood association for 5 years, helped with library book sales, and participated in numerous river cleanups which honed her kayaking skills.
