Clara Payne

Clara serves as a Center for Community Engagement AmeriCorps VISTA. She helps connect students with opportunities to serve, strengthen relationships with community organizations, and build programs that make it easier for people to get involved. Growing up in West Virginia gave Clara a deep appreciation for the people and communities here. She joined AmeriCorps to give back to the state that raised her and is excited to meet the people doing good work across it. 

Clara is an undergraduate student at WVU studying Social Work and Psychology. She plans to attend law school and hopes to build a career advocating for others. In her free time, she loves to read and relax with her two cats.
